Yeah r/NormalBootsUnited was great for me and my channel, but I don't think my last few videos have been noticed on there. My next video has a subreddit for the game I'm discussing so I might try posting it there too which will be a first. Hidden Block, TOVG and Retroware all attempted forums, but much like r/NBU they became places to dump content. Ideally LimitedLives should become the viable outlet, but spreading its awareness has its risks and rewards.

I hate the /v/ threads, just saying. I typically look for relevant subreddits and share on my twitter. About it. I'm pretty much the same. I suppose I've had a friend of mine advertise on a few 4 chan threads. I actually found this website because of a 4 chan thread he linked me to.

There is a great selection of names that post on 4chan and r/NBU that would benefit from a site like this, however the harsh reality is that most of /v/ hate YouTube channels. It would be better to reach out and communicate with channels seeking help in locations dedicated to content creation.

The main areas I tend to advertise my stuff are Twitter and Facebook.. though my Facebook page only has around 75-80 likes.. but then once my posts are made on the page, I then use my facebook profile to promote them further via groups that I'm assigned to. It gets around, but at the end of the day, it's hardly noticeable. I can tell because of the small numbers I'm achieving.
Another forum I've done some posting of my vids, is Damnlag! To cut a full description short, 'Great forum'!

Here's the places I advertise to:
ScrewAttack main site and forums Channel Awesome forums and blog NormalBootsUnited subreddit
That's about it. Call me a n00b when it comes to the Internet, but I don't know what /v/ is for anyway, until I found 4chan.
Unforunately, for 2 years, I only have 40 subs or so while others have gotten more than 100 so I'm a little jealous, but then again, my videos are still a work in progress.
