What the fuck is a YouTube?

Someone mentioned rules. I haven't read them, so let me know if I'm breaking any in this post. 

I'm Brody, I make videos for Redtube and sometimes people watch them. A lot of my videos tend to have a few common themes: Video Games, Frustration, A Quest for Fame, Autism. You know, the normal things you see on YouTube. 

Should this be set up like a dating profile? I really enjoy film, and have always wanted to create content on my own. I went to school for music. Jazz Composition to be exact. I dropped out with a semester left because I hated it and it was expensive. Now I collect video games and watch Initial D and JoJo and do nothing productive for myself or society.

I release videos infrequently, but the more people that tell me I'm enjoyable, the more it makes me want to create more. I'm just a lazy fuck and new ideas are hard.

So yeah, what are you guys into? The new Animal Collective album leaked. I thought that was pretty good.

No actual rules to speak of - at least not yet anyways. We're too small for rules, haha. But yeah, I play games. Sometimes. Also watch anime. Fullmetal Alchemist is probly my favorite. I've been meaning to check out JoJo, just have no idea where to start.

Start at the beginning. Phantom Blood. I'm honestly not big into anime, I'm just a huge film guy and any medium works for me, as long as I enjoy it. My tastes have always been super eclectic, but incredibly specific.

That's exactly what I had in mind when starting this. Them and Hidden Block, but bigger. Gotta work our way up.

I studied film and art in school myself, but I'm having a hard time finding anything to do with that degree, so I'm investing a lot of my time into this whole youtube thing.

Thanks, dude. I just try to put on as much of a character as I can in my videos, and try to keep consistent with the tone and personality of that character. The real me is much more autistic.

I second this. I've yet to watch the rest but the Rarest Games video was funny and the Pickups video was amazing. Did NOT see where that video as going at all!
Also, liking that new avatar!

Ah! I also commend that you're not just a guy who records in their house (like yours truly) but spend a lot of time outside interacting with people. Very refreshing. And yes, as Petronious said, I like the new avatar. Anything Earthbound I approve of.

How long have you been growing those sideburns?

Thank Tentacle for my artwork. He did a great job with it, and I think it's much better than what I had before. I really do think that you can get a lot of good chemistry from other people, which is why I try to expose myself to the world as much as possible.

I've grown sideburns since before I could drive. They only disappear for goofier facial hair styles. I usually will grow a beard and then mold something dumb. Sideburns are my industry standard.

I've met Pat several times. I'm actually a fairly large, national vendor for retro video games. Me and my business partner travel around the country to buy and sell retro stuff, so we go to conventions very often. We've sold to and had dinner with many big YouTube guys. The only people I didn't like were Pat, AVGN, and Brentalfloss. Everyone has been super cool and down to earth. I've never been one for Pat's content, so I'm sure there's a bias there, and he's probably a fine human, but his videos are very condescending and condemning of resellers, and I don't think I could ever look past his hypocrisies.

The guys whose channel I hate the most are typically the coolest guys in person. Billy and Jay from Game Chasers are super cool, and tend to enjoy our presence.

Rant aside, thanks for liking my sideburns. <3
