So I made a twitter for my account finally. I've never used twitter in my life. How does this work. Any tips from you famous guys with lots of followers?
Also how do I get my twitter to show up on my YT account?

On your Youtube channel, click the little pencil icon at the upper-right corner of your banner and click "edit links." You can put your Twitter URL in there. As for how Twitter works... basically you just follow people, their posts will show up on your feed, and then when you have something you want to say, write a tweet and it'll show up on your followers' feeds.

No i've seen countless social media manager jobs that just basically require you to know a little SEO and be social media savvy. pays quite well for what it is

Twitter is one of the most fundamental tools for establishing a public identity within the YouTube space. With Google removing the ability to message or add friends on its platform, Twitter (And in a lesser case, tumblr) have become the most direct ways to interact with fans and fellow creators.
I could tweet to my near 500 or so followers and ask them the dumbest thing and you know what? Someone will damn well reply because that’s the nature of twitter. It’s quick, dumb and easy to use. Because of it, they can in turn help promote a video of mine. Retweets, embedded tweets and even shout outs achieve way more than likes on YouTube now.
“But I don’t know who to follow?”
Follow people that interest you, obviously. Follow fellow creators and befriend them. Don’t expect to grow as a creator if you are not willing to network.

That is a pretty important thing. It's why I'm glad I know so many actually big YouTube guys who have been helping me out, mostly behind the scenes, for now.

Troubling thing for me about Twitter is the restriction on how much you can write. I've been a Facebook guy for the longest time because there is no limit to what you can type down in one setting.
To me, Twitter is for those who have short attention spans and is a huge space of vitriol, no offense to all of you. I never liked Twitter, but I'm slowly getting used to it. I guess I should use TwitLonger if that's what it is called for longer tweets, but I still have a lot to learn about Twitter.
