Hey there, I'm not very good at these intro-type posts, so I'll just tell you about my channel.
I make cinematic shorts, almost always intertwined with some music. I try and aim for a 'comfy' vibe with my videos, most times, and don't ever go too plot heavy. I get a lot of "all style, no substance", and I'm working on that, but I still do very much enjoy making videos that are enjoyable to watch, and nice to look at. I've recently started a '52 videos for 52 weeks' challenge for myself, to try and maintain a schedule and get more videos out, and I think I've done alright by that.
Looking forward to getting to know the rest of you guys and hopefully be able to contribute something worthwhile to the group.

Welcome aboard! I love comfy videos, I'm gonna start binge watching your stuff over the next week or so. Good luck with that schedule. The best I've been able to maintain since I started is a video per month, but hoping to up that frequency in the (near?) future. Looking forward to getting to know you and any other new recruits as well!

I looked at your GTA and Batman one. They definitely have their own vibe to em. Hard to categorize too. Not quite a music video. not quite a skit.
** Okay i actually really like em. Yeah i'll feature the hell out of this on my channel.

It's tough to maintain a schedule, especially something so short as a week. I thought it'd be all the time in the world but it goes by super fast. I'm sure you'll find a schedule that works, I can appreciate how long your videos must take, mine have way fewer components to them.

Yeah i'll feature the hell out of this on my channel. Yeah, I have a hard time categorizing them too. They're edited in the style of a montage, but with a loose narrative (sometimes), although definitely not a skit/machinima. The Batman video is kind of an outlier, it was just one of those lazy uploads I did a while back because I thought it was funny. Videos like that one and that goofy Call of Duty edit aren't the main type of videos I usually make, but I'm not opposed to them. Right on, I'm happy to hear that! Appreciate the kind words and support man! I'm about to check out your channel, just didn't want to wait forever before replying and then forget.

I already binged them all. I haven't seen anything like these. I can't wrap my mind around it. But you definitely have a knack for telling a story with no words. Welcome to Los Santos feels like one of those E3 trailers to generate hype. I loved the transitions in Good Night airplane. if anything i can tell as the videos went along that you got better at the cinematic editing style.

Real talk man, all the feedback and kind words you've given me mean a lot. I'm very weak at coming up with complex characters or scripts, so I usually just stick to very simple, loose narratives (recent GTA videos). While I know some of them just seem like a bunch of shots spliced together and timed with the music, I've been trying to have some sort of progression or arch that the video is about, as subtle as it may be. So when you mention "telling a story with no words", it means a lot. It's definitely not my main focus, but it's something I'm conscious about.
I think you're the first to mention the transitions, those were a load of fun to mess around with and one of the first times I'd attempted them. Adds a nice flair between the cuts and probably something I'll work on more in the future!
Every now and then I watch that original video and it's like looking back in time. Seeing the root of what style I've developed and parallels between the videos now and when I first started, but also where I've improved.
Again, thanks for all the love, it hasn't gone unnoticed or unappreciated.
