There's so much hate toward that game just because it's not a regular Star Fox game... just like Nuts and Bolts actually. Yeah totally.. because how dare Nintendo make adjustments to games that we were once designed to play in a specific way!

That one i'm mixed becuase we were essentially robbed of Dinosaur planet because miyamoto thought "hey foxes, shove star fox in there. the name will draw more sales" that said if the end product didn't differ too much from what dinosaur planet was, then eh, can't mourn characters we never had.

I was saying to CraftyMatt earlier, I reckon as it was Rares last game before going to Microsoft it wouldn't surprise me if Star Fox was pushed onto Dinosaur Planet to stop Rare re-releasing it later on down the line like they did with the original Banjo games on XBLA.
It's never been outright said, but that's the angle I've always looked at it from. I've actually gone through Adventures a few times and enjoyed it for what it is. Totally understand why Star Fox fans don't like it though because it's not what it lets on to be.
Funnily enough there's a small section of my next video going over that in relation to other games...

Imagine if the game was released as Dinosaur Planet, people would have loved it and no-one would have given it any flaws due to everyone expecting nothing but good things prior to launch. Unfortunately, they all saw it as a kick in the teeth for Miyamoto because he slapped the Star-Fox brand on it.

I used draw a lot of inspiration from Caddicarus and IHE, but more recently I have been getting inspired by smaller channels that constantly upload really high quality videos which are sadly overlooked by a lot of people. The fact that they persevere and do it entirely because they enjoy it really inspires me.

Biggest inspiration to do videos: Angry Video Game Nerd, Spoony, The Nostalgia Critic, Linkara
Inspirations to be like: The Completionist, PeanutButterGamer, AngryJoe, ProJared, ScrewAttack, Caddicarus, Space Hamster (for his self-taught editing skills)

I draw a lot of inspiration from Mega64. They do really creative work and a lot of my skit and parody videos formed while watching their stuff.

Cinemassacre, 1000% Cinemassacre. Sure there exist both more informative and funnier channels, but James is still the gold standard as far as I'm concerned.

They are absolutely what I'd call the "bar" when it comes gaming videos. They strike a good enough balance so both kinds of audiences can enjoy.

For me, probably Nostalgia Critic for pushing the boundaries of what you can get out of a 'comedic' review, and even pushing through the misses to smash out hits!

I love the Nostalgia Critic, I just wish he wouldn't do so many other types of videos in between his reviews. His reviews are gold, but I've strayed away from subscribing to him because I don't want the other clutter.

I like his reviews but puts a LOT of other things all together in one place on his main channel. Gets kinda cluttered...

Pinterest has a thing where you don't actually have to subscribe to the person's account, but rather a board attached to the account. If I was to compare that to a YouTube channel, it would be someone subscribing to a 'playlist' attached to the channel, which techically would still be considered a subscriber to the creator.. but, that person would only get videos from the playlist they're following, and not anything else. It would be a good thing for YouTubers because it would help them tidy their channel up a bit, and at the same time, steady their demographic. But the problem being, is that during an uploading process, it's easy to forget someone has playlists, and they would only think to simply upload the video to their channel, rather than adding it to a relevant playlist.

I still love the Nostalgia Critic and still religiously watch his content. Not saying his stuff is comedy gold, but I still love this videos, even the clipless reviews everyone absolutely hates.
And I can understand the clutter because we all watch for one thing, though it's kind of smart to branch out and try new things.

AVGN was actually the first game reviewer I ever watched on YouTube.. back in 2006, and I can remember where I was at the time as well.. I was introduced to him by one of my mates at university, while he was living in his dorm. It honestly feels like an achievement, to state that I've been watching AVGN now for 10 straight years!

I'd say that ProJared, PBG, and JonTron are the main YouTubers who I copy shamelessly draw inspiration from, but I've also found myself thinking about Jimmy Whetzel, SpaceHamster, and Brutalmoose when making videos.
