I've been emailed a handful of times, each time I've turned them down. Everything always sounds too good to be true, and there's always people who seem to be unhappy with what they've signed up for.

they've emailed me too. TGN. the rep said "ask me anything". so after doing some digging i figured out that these people are paid by the person that joins the network under their name. I asked about the benefits and drawbacks to partnering as well as how they found my channel. haven't head back since december 10th 2015. There's likely nothing to gain. the scouts get paid by getting you. that seems to be it.

I think it's a very poor idea. I like the idea of cross promoting stuff a lot more than that.

I've had a few emails from scouts as well. Honestly, unless its more of a collaboration network between producers, there isn't much point.
As an example, look at Normal Boots and That One Video Gamer Networks, sure they got cool stuff on their sites and blogs, but the average joe won't use it. Normal Boot's site doesnt really get much traffic either.
Now Team Four Star on the other hand have it right, but than again they have a monopoly on quality Abridged videos. So their more the exception to the rule.
But thats just my view. I see networks being more beneficial for helping other channels learn and work together on projects. Ya know, like a network,

I know some like Curse are good, but even they have restrictions like being unable to show trailers and other certain things. They personally seem unnecessary to me since I'm more concerned with content than a check and restrictions like that aren't good for the process.
