This is a little more broad than just YouTube, but I really wish I could be more patient. I have a hard time just sitting down long enough to do certain things, so I usually just avoid them. Things like a script or heavy narrative, characters, anything that needs to be written basically.

Not posting immediately when something's completed. there are some earlier videos that i know could've been better if i just waited to improve what i already had. It's hard remembering i'm not tied to a schedule so my content should be of quality 100% of the time. This site would've looked drastically different if i didn't convince content free time to avoid the mistakes i made.

I do the same thing. Been trying to get videos done in advance so I can sit on them for a day or two and watch them with fresh eyes. Recent videos have been done that way, but "Where's My Bike" was rushed out because I didn't think anybody would watch it anyway, back when I had like 25 subscribers. Now I regret it because I'd change a number of things in hindsight.

the worst is when people actually prefer the rushed version. on the soundredux page i released a track for the zelda redux album. hated it in hind site. changed the instruments and re uploaded the fixed version. people preferred the version i didn't like :/

Art is never finished, only abandoned. My Too Many Games video is the way that it is because my microphone broke without me knowing, so half of the interviews didn't get picked up at all, and I had to scramble to make something of it, hence the post/adr shit. For myself, I'd like to release stuff more consistently. I also have a hard time writing scripts as my character instead of as myself. My newest script is on it's 4th draft, though, so I think that's a good thing.

I'd like it if I could figure out how to go more in-depth with my videos. I think I started to get there with my Animal Crossing video, but after that I just reverted back to my comfort zone. Also it would be nice if I could get more animations out, but animating is hard T_T

In depth. Once the first draft is over re read it. If you state something, and the next sentence isn't explaining what's just stated go into more of what you meant. From there, maybe bits of relevant knowledge or trivia attached to the analysis.

I think the issue thegamestatistic brought up is a really good point for me, I always post videos the second they're done. In the future I'm gonna let a video sit for a day or two while I work on something else, and then go back to it to see how I feel.

My two big things right now are making my voiceovers less rehearsed, less boring, and sound less scripted. I don't want to stray too far away from my style, but there is a happy medium that I haven't reached. I also want to add some graphics and such to spice things up.

The struggle is so real with the voice overs. It's hard to go full on analytical without sounding a bit robotic.
