Cool channel brah. I definitely recommend trying out those reviews or something. I used to have a Let's Play channel, but once I started doing other stuff that required more planning and editing I felt so much more satisfied.

That's what I've been using the past couple years. I haven't had any issues with screen tearing, but it's notorious for crashing, so save often.

I liked what Vegas could do but once it destroyed one clip too many i swapped over to Magix pro. from there i went to the Premiere industry standard and i gotta say. people require Premiere for a reason. it's insanely powerful and compatible with a lot of useful software for special effects and color grading. definitely recommend Premiere

I've been thinking of moving over to Premiere but just haven't made the jump because I don't want to have to re-learn a new interface and all that. I will at some point, I just don't know when that is.

Vegas, Magix, and Premiere aren't all that different. sure the buttons are moved around and Premiere has even more buttons and such, but it doesn't take long to get the hang of. Better sooner than later.

How easy is it to get Premier working without, say, paying for it?

I have to note that later versions of Vegas have drastically improved. I haven't experienced any crashes since switching from Vegas 11 to 13, it's been working great for me.

But if you want a job. Get Premiere.

I've only used Premiere and it seems great, never had any problems. Really like your idea of playing random weird games, props for that.
