Currently I'm just aiming for 500, and then 1000 subscribers. While I'd love to somehow turn it into a career, I don't think I could put ads on my videos.

I'd like have every video I post get at least 1k views within a week of posting. I'd be satisfied with that. It'd be enough of a boost to motivate me to do it on a regular basis.

I did it for portfolio reasons. I treated the experiment videos very seriously to show i could competently put together an ambitious project. the other half is schlock for fun.

If it became financially viable, running a YouTube channel full-time would honestly be my dream job. So for now I'm just enjoying making videos and hoping some other people will like them too, trying to see how far that will go. I suppose my immediate goal would be to catch up with some of you guys on that subscriber count, haha.

We gotta both start stepping up our game dramatically, then start casually marketing each others works because a strangers recommendation always goes over better than self advertisement.

I've been trying to get people to check out this site and watch all of your stuff. Every time I put out a new video, I always get a decent influx of subs, so hopefully I'll pass the 100 mark after this next video. (Oh boy I am famous already I can feel it)

Haha, that's awesome. Yeah, if we all keep up the sharing/cross-promotion I really think we can make it.

I posted ehmaysi's most recent video on /r/gaming and it actually went positive 6 for a while (now it's positive 2, the cancer caught up) but i like to think i got at least 100 more people to see it.

I linked your Chicken mod video on /r/gaming as well, but it only got to positive 3 before fizzling out. I know people'd like it, I think luck plays a big part in it though, especially the first hour or so.

The title of the post, when it's posted, yadda yadda. yeah. a lot of factors. but mainly i think not being a 15 year old edgy meme based high schooler is what's keeping me from the front page of /r/gaming .

I wonder if Redditors have ever seen my shit. I've never been on the site, so I have no clue what any of it does, haha.

As long as I don't fall into Irate Gamer infamy and/or people don't hate my guts, I'm happy just going about my business.

I agree with Tentacle. It's never about the numbers as long as you're enjoying what you're doing. If you treat the whole thing as a job, what's the point in even doing YouTube in the first place?
As far as 'my' aspirations are concerned. I'd like to maintain my 1k subs status and reach my current target of 1500 subs, although the number gain for me has been severely lacking for me recently, but I never give up on reaching my goals.
It sounds like I'm contradicting myself with this post, but it's never a dull thing to tell it like it is.

Making videos is just so fun to do, but I understand why you want to get more subs. Just because you do the videos for fun doesn't necessarily mean you can't try to garner a viewing base. (What all of us are doing I think.) I was really stoked to find this place because I knew I'd at least get some feedback on my stuff for a change. As for my aspirations, even 100 subscribers would be awesome, but I'm focused on getting a feel for my style and playing around with show ideas that appeal to me and hope people want to see it. "Networking" with LL has already been beneficial to my channel and I'd love to help you guys out with promoting.

Like most people I'd love to see my channel grow in terms of subs/comments and the like. And the idea of doing it as some sort of career sounds great, but I know that's not something to hedge a bet on. Plus I'm a pessimist.
I'm pretty happy doing whatever I'm doing right now, recently reached 100 subscribers which was my first milestone so I just plan to keep releasing stuff from time to time.

1. Get at least 50-100 subs this year alone because I've been very low for 2 years. 2. Would love to run this whole channel full time. Being a host at my family's restaurant does have a lot of perks, but the service industry can be a bitch half the time, and that ain't for me. 3. Get to know a lot more gamers since I'm mostly introverted and get to hang out with them. 4. Also love to get a title card artist b/c as much as having your own thumbnails fine and all, I kind of got spoiled by TGWTG to ask for title card artists in the future. 5. HAVING FUN WHILE DOING IT!!!

My Personal goals is just to have fun making videos and to get better at making them. Number goals are fine and all, but i know if I focus on that I'll just depress myself, best to just have fun doing what you like to do.
